Valentine’s Day 2017

valentines-day-as-family-day

Valentine’s Day used to be something I cared to celebrate and go out for when my husband and I first started dating. Why? Well, even though I dated very few people before meeting him, I never actually went on a real valentine’s date ever before.

Our first V-day date 8 years ago was great and cute and we spent a lot of MULA on each other. A year later we realized that going out on V-day is kinda hectic and we’d rather go out on other nights where they aren’t so busy.

We also realized we give each other plenty of things throughout the year because we love each other and how silly it was to focus on just one day out of the year to do and claim so.

This year my sweet 3 year old has been mentioning Valentine’s day. I saw this post about making personal sized pizzas with kids on FB a few weeks ago and thought it would be perfect to celebrate V-day with her. We’d all have our own personal pizzas, and since she loves to cook, this would be just perfect for all of us.

I couldn’t find pita bread which was used on the post I saw, but in the pizza crust mix aisles there are ready made thick pizza crusts you just top with whatever you like and cook for 7-10 minutes tops, seems so simple.

I bought 2 packs of 3 so we can each decorate and bake two pizzas.

My daughter who doesn’t like “meatballs” (pepperoni) will get to put the amount of pizza sauce she wants on and the amount of mozzarella cheese she wants. She loves olives so we will have some for her to put on her own pizza.

I will post pics tomorrow if I can remember to do so! 🙂 I am so excited my husband and I get to cook pizza with our daughter on Valentine’s day tomorrow!

Happy Valentine’s Day 2017!!!
